Who am I and how can I help?

 


I'm a Health Coach/Mentor,  helping women over 35, create small yet powerful wellness habits so they can feel good and thrive into their 40's and beyond.  Midlife is often seen as a 'past your best' 'over the hill 'time of life.  I'm here to disrupt that and say 'No way Jose!' Midlife is a significant time of transition for women, it may bring challenges, but it doesn't need to be filled with dread or uncertainty,  Instead, it can be a time to reclaim and prioritise you, exploring new opportunities and possibilities that light you up with vibrance. With the actions, you can support your mind & body to absolutely feel their best, Yes, there may be twists and turns to navigate, but you don't need to go through them alone., With the right backup (that's me) tools and approach it can be an inspiring and powerful time.

I'm a full member of the UK Health Coaches Association, a professional body for qualified, credentialed Health and wellness coaches and I use my background, over 10 years as an NHS Health & Well-being Practitioner, my BSc Hons in Health, along with further, Nutrition, Mindfulness and Menopause training in supporting women.  I take a holistic approach, using my passion for all things wellness, with  'small simplified steps' and evidenced-based behaviour change tools, to support women in reclaiming what matters to them.





From first steps to Midlife Explorer!


I'm Michelle a flourishing 51 yr-old, Health & Wellness Coach. I live in Canterbury with my husband Rob and two children. 


I've always loved working in well-being roles where people are at the centre of my work..I'll admit I haven't always looked after my mind & body. I've had an unbalanced diet, excess processed food and alcohol, no exercise with little focus on my mental health. My weight increased, and generally, I wasn't feeling great. Starting a family in my 30s prompted a couple of wellness changes, but everything changed when I started my career in Health and Well-being.


The  magic moment


How? I  learned the key principles of what supports us to live longer in better health, as well as; training in nutrition, weight management, sleep, movement, and emotional well-being and, I learned  behaviour change techniques and how they're applied in real life.    I've been privileged to have worked with hundreds of adults,  over 1000's of hours and I've seen how small, steps and personalised support help people regain confidence, feel better, and thrive in their life.  I  began exploring and applying the practices to my own life, one simplified step at a time.


Then what?


My life changed forever. I found my true passion of supporting women to flourish, gain confidence and find joy in their health & well-being. Whilst future-proofing my own health and well-being in preparation for midlife, menopause and beyond. I  walk my talk with positivity and passion (which I'm told is my superpower)  I explore and apply health/behaviour change techniques to myself, taking one simplified step at a time,  Today I am thriving in my mind & body,  I'm living proof that making subtle personalised shifts can lead to meaningful change.



And I'm here to help you explore whats possible for you!

Who I'm not - you need to know this!


It's important to let you know, that I'm not medically trained, nor a dietician or personal trainer. As a wellness coach, I'm no expert in every possible area of wellness (I'm a real human)  but I am highly skilled in helping women succeed in creating wellness habits such as eating healthier, sleeping better, moving more,  and prioritising self-care, helping them to thrive and  future proof their health.
